Sir, It's very annoying to see that many indexes of the various counts of France do NOT guide you any further: clicking on a name in the index does not give "further information", so I can not discover their genealogic relations!I guess it's about time your database gives the appropiate links. Do you agree?? (source: )

Remark 2422 of 4 Februar 2003 by jproepper@hotmail.com referring to: Elisabeth v.J!ulich

To all my fellow descendants of the wonderful noble house of Waldeck, let's bless this lady, for through her marriage with Comte Henri VI de Waldeck we are descended from St Louis, the Spanish, Italien and Hungarien royal houses, as well as the fascinating but dreadful Byzantine families of Comnenus, Laskaris, and Angelus! Wish we knew more about her, all I can figure is that she was engaged around the age of 5 years and married at about 15--that's how it went in them days! (source: moi)

Still problems with "J"ulich confusion"! Besides this website, the "Allgemeine Deutsche Biographie" also states that this lady was married around 1330 to Otto IV von Niederbaiern. However, as her mother could not have been born before 1314, how is it possible that she could even have been born in 1330, since she was not even the oldest child??? Things aren't adding up! Remark 2463 of 25 April 2003 by jproepper@hotmail.com referring to: Eberhard I. v.Wertheim

Mechtild von Waldeck, grandmother of Eberhard I, was born (according to the Hoffmeister book), after 1282 and before 9 June 1290. Therefore, I suspect that Eberhard was born somewhat later than ca 1310, as very few women become grandmothers in their early to mid 20's! (source: Hoffmeister, etc)

Remark 2464 of 25 April 2003 by jproepper@hotmail.com referring to: Johann I. v.Wertheim

As we have established that his father was born later than around 1310, more likely around 1320 or 1325, so Johann was born certainy later than about 1330, probably around 1340 or 1345. The other reason for that assumption is that he was still fathering chidren around the year 1400, the 1330 year would have made him 70 or better when the last children were born! (source: ME)

Remark 2465 of 25 April 2003 by jproepper@hotmail.com referring to: Otto I. v.Waldeck

According to the Hoffmeister book, he was married in 1281, and the first seven children were born after that but before 9 June 1290, the last two children born before 1306. (source: Hoffmeister, etc)

Obviously not a son of Stephen II, born 1101.According to book "Heraldry of the Royal Families of Europe", Boris (born 1112, killed in battle 1155) was son of King Koloman and his second wife Euphemia of Kiev, so he was Stephen II's half-brother.
