Sehr geehrter Herr Prof. Stoyan, habe soeben Ihre großartige Datenbank entdeckt.

Sehr geehrter Herr Wember! Tiroler Landesarchiv Urk. --Who is the author of this book? --
His son, Franz von Waldeck, Bishop of M"unster and Osnabruck, was an ancestor of mine. He had a "union" with Anna Pohlmann, daughter of a merchant in Warendorf. They had several children, seven of whom are known: Franz, Christoph, Barthold, Philipp, Johanna, Ermgard, and Catharina. I am descended through the son Christoph, who married Agnes Pagenstecher of Warendorf, daughter of the Guildmaster of wall builders. Their son, Christoph (b 1585 in Warendorf), was Kanzleirat (chancery counsellor) in Mengeringhausen, County of Waldeck. He died in 1657. He married Ottilie Fesel (d 1658), daughter of Dr Philipp Fesel of Durlach, in Baden. The children of Franz used the title "von Waldeck" without the title of Count or Countess, their descendants simply used the surname "Waldeck". Information about four of Philipp II's children: Anna was born, probably, in 1481, died 22 January 1482. Georg was born in Schloss Waldeck, 27 June 1483, died as a student in Paris, before 1504. Clara (Klara) was born in Schloss Waldeck, 30 August 1487, died young. Elisabeth was born in Schloss Waldeck, 16 June 1489, died young. Although various sources list the son, Philipp III, as being born on 9 December 1486, it is unlikely that he was born only eight and a half months before Clara. Often, old records list someone born during the "advent year" (December) as being born in the following year, so, it is possible that Philipp III was born in 1485. Margarete was a renowned beauty, and lived at the court of the widowed Queen Marie of Hungary and Bohemia, sister of Emperor Charles V, in Brussels. She attracted the attention of King Felipe II of Spain, who fell in love with her. However, at the time he was soon to be betrothed to Queen Mary Tudor, and Margarete died suddenly, apparently from poisoning, from those who wished to further the alliance with Mary Tudor. She was buried in the Franziskanerkloster in Brussels "als Opfer ihrer Sch"onheit". She was also deaconess in Herford and died 15 October 1611 in Arolsen. Heinrich Wilhelm was born at Schloss Waldeck on 3 November 1552, died 28 December 1559. Prince (Friedrich) Anton Ulrich made a name for himself at quite a young age: on 28 April 1691 at the Ritterakadamie in Wolfenb"uttel, he killed, in a duel, the Raugraf Karl Casimir (1675-1691), son of Karl Ludwig, Elector Palatine and Luise Von Degenfeld, and half-brother of the famous Lieselotte. He also appears to have had at least one illegitemate child, the Herr Von Reins: "So verstehen wir, dass der nat"urliche Sohn des F"ursten, Herr von Reins dort (near the village of Sudeck) um 1730 ein Jagdschloss aus Marmor erbaut hatte." Sorry, you are "mixing" the wives and concubines of the two first Valdemars, Kings of Denmark.E.g. Helena Guttormsdatter, daughter of the (West) Swedish (Götaland) Jarl (Graf) Guttorm, and widow of Esbern Snare of the prominent Hvide family, was the concubine of king Valdemar I of Demnark, with whom she hadde two children.King Valdemar II was married twice, first to Dragomir (Danish=Dagmar) of Bohemia in 1205 and secondly with Bergaria (Bengjerd) of Portugal, with whom he had many children, of those no less 3 of them succeded as kings of Denmark, namely Erik Plovpenning; Abel and Christoffer I, in that order.Hans-Chr. Her husbond the Norwegian king Haakon / Håkon VI of Norway, was not the king of Sweden, that was the honour of his elder brother. Because of the misrule of his father king Magnus, who was both king of Sweden (through his father) and king of Norway (through his mother Ingeborg, who had married a Swedish duke and son of the Swedish king) the two councils of the realms, decided that Norway would go to the younger son, Haakon, while the elder would take over Sweden. The father, would however, while he lived, keep land on both sides of the border. This solution ofcourse, encouraged war between the 2 countries, and king Magnus was helped by his younger son, Håkon, in trying to regain the crown and the whole of Sweden. It has been suggested, that king Haakon, might have been legally considered king of Sweden, for the duration of less than one year, but for all practical reasons, also reconing the numbers of Swedish kings, he is not included.Margrethe I, the younger daughter of King ValdemarIV, managed after her fathers death, to get her son, Olav / Oluf (IV of Norway) elected as king of Denmark after his grandfather 1376 with herself as regent, and because Norway in contrast to Denmark was not an elective kingdom, so as crown-prince he inheritted Norway, when his father died 1381, and followingly was king of both Norway and Denmark. When he himself died in 1387, only 17 years old, his mother Margareth was elected regent of lthe two countries and later was invited by the Swedish nobles to also become their regent. She managed to get her grandnephew,Erik av Pommeren, the grandson of her elder sister, who had married a duke of Pomerania /Pommern as her heir, and she introduced the Union of Kalmar, when Eric became elected king of all the 3 countries, which last on and of until Gustav Wasa was elected king of Sweden in the 1500s.H.C. To elaborate further upon Philipp II's son, Franz I, Prince-Bishop of M"unter, Osnabr"uck, and M"nster: His "lady" Anna Pohlmann was born in 1505, daughter of Barthold Pohlmann, Linen merchant and Guild master of linen weavers in Einbeck, she died 1557 in Osnabr"uck. Eight children are known to have been born to Franz and Anna: 1) Franz, born 1524 in Einbeck, died 1580, chapter head of St Martin's, Minden; 2) Barthold, cathedral vicar in Osnabr"uck; 3) Philipp, vicar of St Martin's, Minden, living 1601; 4) Katharina, died 1597 in Ober-Ense, County of Waldeck-Eisenberg, married(1) 1552 the merchant Hermann Becker, married (2) the city magistrate Konrad Leusmann of Korbach, County of Waldeck; 5) Ermgard, married 1564 the Councilman Kaspar Tylenhen of Landau, County of Waldeck-Landau; 6) Elisabeth, born 1539 in Iburg, married (1) 9 July 1564 to Peter Sl"uter, B"urgermeister of Rhoden, County of Waldeck, married (2) 12 March 1566 to Werner Krauss, Councilman, Notary and Lawyer in Lauterbach, Landgraviate of Hessen-Darmstadt; 7) Johanna, was a laysister in Stift Quernheim in 1564, is found living in Schloss Arolsen, residence of the widowed Countess Anna of Waldeck, in 1572; 8) Christoph, born 2 July 1543 in Iburg, was Lawyer and Notary in Warendorf, in 1586 was coucilman and Secretary in Korbach, County of Waldeck, where he died on 19 February 1587. He married, as his third wife, in 1581, Agnes Pagenstecher, daughter of Christian Pagenstecher, B"urgermeister in Warendorf, and his wife Ursula tor Mollen. This was Agnes' SIXTH marriage (!), she had five previous childless marriages. They had a son Christoph in 1585. Bishop Franz had an earlier son, also named Christoph, born probably around 1520, mother's name not known, who married Engel Kerckerinck.
